Moderation

Is too much of anything bad for you?  Most of the time it is, however, that doesn't mean we should cut it cold turkey.  Well, crack maybe?  LOL!!!!!  I'm kidding.

The key word to a healthy lifestyle, or working towards one is moderation.  Think about it for a second.   If you starve yourself craving everything you can't have for most of the day, is that healthy?  Does eating a ground beef hamburger the size of an 8" round skillet three days out of the week sound safe? Is working out seven days a week eating trail mix as a post workout meal good?

Everything mentioned above is absolutely goofy, but real in a lot of ways!  I'll keep it short and simple.  Diet is a word taken too far in todays society so lets just not use it for now.

Our bodies need fat (energy), our bodies need sugar (energy), our bodies need protein (fuel for muscles).  On the other hand, some things we choose to eat have TOOOOOOO much fat in them to be eaten regularly!  What do we do about that?   Eat that greasy fried chicken with a slice of pizza, just not so much, hence forth the term moderation

Our bodies need exercise ( burn the excess calories).  Keep in mind, working out without taking any days to let your body rest and recoup is a disaster waiting to happen.   I'm sure you all get gist of what I'm saying, just think moderation when indulging into those things we enjoy.

Stay Ready,
Dominic
